Titanium serpentine tubes are precision-bent titanium tubes designed for compact and efficient heat transfer. Their unique serpentine shape maximizes surface area and thermal conductivity, making them ideal for heat exchangers, condensers, chemical processing, and marine applications. The serpentine bending design enhances heat transfer efficiency and maximizes space utilization.
Technical Details – Titanium Serpentine Tubes
Bending Radius: From 1.5 × OD (Outside Diameter) up to 1500 mm.
Note: For bending radius ≤ 1.5 × OD, precision and tolerances must be confirmed prior to production.
Straight Tube Max. Length (Before Bending): Up to 35000 mm.
Leg Length: Min. 1000 mm, Max. 16,500 mm (for maximum R = 1500 mm).
Other Dimensions: Custom sizes and configurations available upon agreement.
Heat Treatment
Process: Stress-relieved after bending
Area Treated: Bending zone plus 300 mm on each leg
Atmosphere: Argon or vacuum annealing available upon request
Raw Material Selection
Titanium seamless tubes (Grade 2 / Grade 5 / Other alloys) are selected according to ASTM B338 or equivalent standards.
Tube Cutting
Tubes are cut to specified lengths before bending, ensuring precise dimensions and minimum deformation.
Cold Bending / U-Bending / Serpentine Bending
High-precision CNC-controlled tube bending machines are used.
Bending radius, angle, and leg length are controlled within tight tolerances.
Heat Treatment
Stress-relief annealing is applied after bending to eliminate residual stress in the bent area.
Conducted under protective atmosphere (argon or vacuum).
Cleaning & Drying
Tubes are flushed with demineralized water and dried using filtered compressed air.
End Finishing
Tube ends are cleaned, deburred, and protected with plastic caps.
Ends can be beveled, square cut, or customized per project needs.
Titanium serpentine tubes are widely used in various high-performance and corrosion-resistant systems across multiple industries. These tubes provide excellent thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength, making them ideal for demanding heat exchange applications.
