Titanium Grade 12 is an alpha titanium alloy that contains small additions of molybdenum (Mo ~0.3%) and nickel (Ni ~0.8%). These alloying elements enhance its corrosion resistance, particularly against reducing acids, brines, and chlorides, while also improving weldability and strength over CP titanium (Grades 1-4).
Grade 12 is often referred to as the "corrosion-resistant workhorse" for heat exchangers, chemical plants, and power generation systems.
