Titanium Grade 7 is commercially pure titanium (similar to Grade 2) with the small addition of 0.12–0.25% palladium (Pd). This alloy offers outstanding corrosion resistance, especially in acidic and chloride-rich environments, due to the palladium-enhanced passivation. It is one of the most corrosion-resistant titanium grades and is widely used in the chemical processing, desalination, and pollution control industries.
Grade 7 has similar mechanical properties to Grade 2 but superior corrosion resistance in reducing acids like HCl and sulfuric acid.
