Titanium Alloy, Tubing, Seamless, Commercially Pure, Grade 3, Annealed
AMS 4942 is a SAE Aerospace Material Specification that covers seamless round tubing made from Commercially Pure (CP) Titanium Grade 3 in the annealed condition.
Compared to Grade 2 (AMS 4941), Grade 3 offers higher strength, while still maintaining good corrosion resistance and acceptable formability. It is often chosen when extra strength is needed but full alloyed titanium (like Grade 5) is not required.
